A hotel corridor is the hardest test for a tile with variation: 40 doors, one shade, no excuses.
Approve a range, not a tile
Reactive and metallic glazes vary piece to piece. Approve a mock-up panel of ten or twenty tiles showing the range, not a single sample. Then write the accepted range into the order.
Batch planning
Order the whole phase in one production run, plus 3–5% reserve for damage. Phase two six months later will be close, not identical. Store the reserve under cover, on site.
Packing for a live site
Hotel fit-outs move cartons repeatedly. Specify carton grade, pieces per carton and pallet configuration in the order confirmation, and photograph each pallet before the container closes.
Wall versus floor
Wall tile is not floor tile. Where a scheme wraps a shower, the floor needs its own product and its own slip performance — do not let a wall specification migrate onto the floor because the colour matched.
Repair strategy
Ask for a maintenance quantity and a trim set at handover. A damaged wall tile with no matching spare becomes a design change.
Project requirements vary by jurisdiction. Confirm slip, fire and substrate requirements with the project engineer.
